This is a story about a real life client of Rob Tencer Public Relations named Amber Kendrella.


Amber Kendrella is a socialites dream come true, because when an unknown socialite or non interesting wall flower socialite is seen arriving with and seen at an event with Amber Kendrella, she would draw all the attention in the room to her and who she was with. You instantly got attention, became important, and you became more liked, Lastly, you finally got the all important invites to the better events and parties.

How do you describe Amber Kendrella?

When you wake up in the morning and you look beautiful just getting out of bed, you know you have it. When you are the center of attention by the energy you put out and the way you look, you know you have it. When designers want to dress you in their clothes and hair stylists want to give you their best cuts and styles to make them look good, you know you have it. When you have that kind of look, the photographers start clicking before they even know her name.

I am describing the beautiful and talented Amber Kendrella, who decided to go with Rob Tencer public relations to help build her career. The only problem was, she had no career.

I took a different direction with Amber that dealt with getting her out, and trying to place her in the right place at the right time to start the ball rolling. After Amber signed on, is when I went to work trying to put her on the map. She had a modeling card that had a retro look to them, that made her look like a femme fatale, to maryln monroe, dominatrix, pin up model.

She had a look that women die for. I thought so highly of her, I sent her to auditions with my connections like Kelly Cutrone for modeling in fashion shows. While they allowed her to audition, they told me the reason she was not chosen. They started off by saying she needed to lose about 10 pounds then they said she cannot walk a runway. My supermodel in the making was to green.

During the week leading up to the academy awards, many a-list parties are thrown. While at a party thrown by flaunt magazine and arranged by peoples revolution, I went ahead and introduced Amber to the boss of the fashion PR agency peoples revolution, Kelly Cutrone, who loved her look. I recommended her for the Lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, that Kelly represented.

It should have all changed there, but next came some type of mental break down for Amber. Amber moved back home, and went silent for months. when she returned, she was in some man's suite at a boutique hotel in west hollywood. I tried again, this time I pulled lingerie and tried a small photo shoot in the suite, before the guy came back. The photo's were not very good, and the designer already had all their photos for their catalogs.

I next heard that Amber got married and was pregnant, then I heard she was no longer with her husband and moved back in with her family. Recently I saw a few video's of Amber and she looks as stunning as ever. She draws joy into her life every day from her little son. I wish Amber returned to LA, and that I could do something else for her.

Kelly Cutrone gave rob tencer his first break into fashion styling by giving him the approval to pull clothes from peoples revolution in los angeles.

Within the first week, rob tencer returned the favor by bringing 6 different magazines and several newspapers including the new york post, new york daily news and the entertainment trade magazine the hollywood reporter to kelly cutrones los angeles office with the
clothes she loaned on the pages of print media.

Each time kelly cutrone allowed rob tencer to pull clothes, he returned the favor by bringing all the newspapers and magazines his work appeared in.

Rob tencer's specialty is pulling clothes in kelly cutrone's showroom that no other stylist wanted and to get it in print.

This went on for months and kelly and rob tencer became pretty good friends. Kelly always tried to get me a seat at any fashion show she was producing and rob tencer was very grateful.

There was so many magazines and so many people rob tencer had to buy magazines for (shoes, dress, hair, hand bag, makeup, top, bottom, jewelry), as a thank you, that the cost of all the magazines eclipsed the profit as a fashion stylist. It was a thank you courtesy that rob
tencer would not stop doing.

Just when the hills started its first season, rob tencer stopped going to clubs, and stopped his fashion work. Rob tencer then moved to Mississippi and Memphis to help out with hurricane Katrina. Rob tencer returned to los angeles in 2008 and has been working on several secret
projects.

Rob tencer is willing to show proof for everything that was just written.

Celebrity talent vs. Celebrity beauty – can you have both? - another look at tattoo art

WARNING TO PARENTS: Your children want or already have tattoo's on their body.

When I last wrote about tattoo artwork on the bodies of young famous women, like Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Anna Kornikova vs. young celebrities who don't have tattoo's, I had no idea of the interest this would have throughout the world.

Anybody can be infected by the tattoo disease that is spreading like chicken pox.

In the last article titled "Celebrity talent vs. Celebrity beauty – can you have both?" I may have poked fun at the idea that you should wait until your established and famous, before tagging your body with tramp stamps, tribal tattoo's, sailor Jerry retro artwork for rockabilly and swing fans.


I think what I failed to realize is, how mainstream tattoo's are in our pop culture and America's youth of today. Thank god I have the gene, that gives me strength to not give into peer pressure, because I somehow did not follow the trend. I don't have tattoo's like so many people do, and not just one tattoo did they follow their friends with, but they have several tattoo's.



This new low class breed of followers, is our youth. The youth of today are thoughtless followers that shame their parents and society. This is the same youth of girls with no self worth and no self confidence whom lack control of their bodies. They choose to be promiscuous before they even finish high school.

Is this an infection? The youth of today are definitely infected
by this disease called tattoo's.

Some adults, afraid to grow old, run to stay trendy by showing they have what it takes to stay young, and are getting tattoo's at an unheard of rate.

Why do African American women get tattoo's behind their ear's?

I guess what I am trying to say is that even though you are mutilating your body, and destroying your natural beauty, it is to much in the mainstream to argue with its acceptance.

What I can say for the year 2009, is that employer's will not hire people who have visible tattoo's. So please put them where the sun don't shine, and hide the ghastly ones, you disenfranchised slacker losers.

"A new study out of Texas State University reports that people with tattoos and body piercings are unpopular at the office. Folks surveyed said that they would rather not work alongside people with lip rings and tramp stamps that would be the tattoo above the lower back that many Hollywood starlets favor.

Even worse, the people with tattoos and body piercings didn't trust their own. A survey of more than 150 people revealed that even those adorned would think twice before buying business insurance from someone with tattoos and piercings.

This discrimination reminds me of the daft women who won't vote for Hillary Clinton solely because she is a woman. Shouldn't the inked and pierced support their own? Reuters reports more here, including the fact that 30 years ago, only one percent of the population had a tattoo. In 2006, 24% of America had gotten inked.

Foreign kids want to be like American Teens.

So if you don't want to come across as an undesirable loser, or a drug addict or alcoholic who got a tattoo while they were drunk or on ambien's, HIDE YOUR KEYS AND YOUR WALLET FROM YOURSELF.

Which grades have open spots? How do I get information?

In a typical year, Spence admits students into Kindergarten and Grades 6 and 9. If you are interested in one of these grades, please call our office so that we may get your contact information, schedule a tour and interview, and send you an application. Alternatively, you may wish to inquire and apply online from our Web site. To schedule all appointments at Spence, please call our office. It is possible there will be openings in various grades throughout the Lower, Middle and Upper schools. For further information, please call the Admissions office at 212-710-8140.

What is the average class size?

The average class size in the Lower School is about 16-18 students. Classes for reading and math are significantly smaller, averaging eight to twelve. In the Middle and Upper Schools classes average 13-14 students.

How old should my daughter be to apply for Kindergarten?

Students applying for Kindergarten must be five years old by August 31, 2009.

Are first choice letters and/or personal letters of recommendation required?

No. We do not encourage first choice letters and ask that you refrain from having personal letters of recommendation mailed to us. The application process is about learning all we can aboutﾠour applicants based solely on the information that is requested and required in the application.

What is your sibling and legacy policy?

Sibling and alumnae families applying to Kindergarten have the option of an earlier notification date. Aside from that, we do not have a specific "policy" for our sibling and alumnae families nor do we reserve a specific number of spots for those families in any grade. All applicants to the school go through the same process and are evaluated with equal consideration.

What percentage of our student body receives financial aid?

Twenty percent of the student body receives receives financial assistance.

Will applying for financial assistance influence an admissions decision?

While the Admissions Office designates financial aid for current families as well as thoseﾠapplying to the school, admissions decisions are separate from financial assistance, and while we do work within a budget, we are often able to offer generous aid packages to most qualifying parents. Financial assistance at Spence is entirely need-based.

Is public transportation available for the younger students?

The Atlantic Express is a free bus service, for students in Kindergarten through Grade 6, offered by the City of New York Board of Education and coordinated through the Spence Parents Association. It is available only in Manhattan to families who live within a five-mile radius of the school. Buses pick up and drop off at designated stops.

Is there an after-school program and does it accommodate the schedules of working parents?

Spence's after-school program, Second Act, holds classes five days a week until 5:00 p.m. and offers supervised care until 6:00 p.m. The program offers a broad choice of classes focused on interactive learning and conducted in a relaxed atmosphere.

Does everyone live on the Upper East Side?

No. Spence is a warm and welcoming school, and although the majority of families live in Manhattan, the school enrolls students from all over New York City. This year the school includes students from Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx as well as nearby suburbs in New York, Long Island, Connecticut and New Jersey. The current kindergarten class is comprised of students from 27 different nursery schools. Students of color in grades K-12 make up approximately 27 percent of the student body.

How do we arrange play dates if we don't live near the school?

Many families participate in the Spence after-school program, Second Act, which provides an excellent opportunity to visit and socialize with classmates and friends. The program runs until 6:00 p.m. and offers a wide range of classes in a relaxed atmosphere.

How can working parents with a modest joint income afford Spence?

The financial aid program offers scholarships to students from all backgrounds, ranging from partial grants for middle income families to more substantial grants for families with greater needs. Grants are made solely on the basis of need and every application receives individual consideration.

When is a foreign language introduced?

Students have a choice of French, Spanish or Mandarin beginning in Grade 3. Latin is offered in Grade 7 as a first or second language.

Do students have an opportunity to study abroad in the Upper School?

Yes. Programs to study abroad are available for Upper School students beginning in Grade 10. In addition, there are two programs for domestic study, one in Maine and one in Vermont. More information is here.

What colleges and universities do Spence graduates attend?

Colleges most often selected by Spence students in the last five years are Cornell, Dartmouth, Princeton, Harvard, Columbia, NYU and the University of Pennsylvania. Here is a complete five-year list.

College Counseling Office offers a comprehensive program during the junior and senior years that is designed to walk students through every aspect of the college application process. The Director of College Counseling is a full-time faculty member who meets individually with all juniors and seniors and their parents, in addition to holding weekly junior and senior seminars. During the junior year, students identify their own interests and talents, as well as begin their search for colleges that are a good fit. During the senior year, weekly seminars as well as multiple individual meetings guide students through such activities as: writing essays, filling out applications, interviewing, and applying for scholarships and financial aid. In addition, seniors have the opportunity to meet with over 60 college representatives who visit our campus each fall. From 2002 to 2006, 216 Spence graduates enrolled in 65 different colleges. Welcome to New York's Upper East side where the wealthy and connected mingle at benefits and try to deal with their always dramatic love lives, not to mention picking colleges. Blair Waldorf is the so-called toast of adolescence in her world; she and her friends, Kati Farkas and Isabel Coates, go to a prep school and fancy parties with their rich parents. Blair is envied by her adversaries because she is thought to have the perfect life, not just because of her gorgeous boyfriend, Nate Archibald, but because she's also planning on getting into her dream college,Yale. With everyone worried about college(or procrastinating on worrying, which everyone seems to be doing), and senior year dragging along, her seemingly perfect life is interrupted by her ex-best friend, the beautiful Serena van der Woodsen, coming back into town after getting kicked out of boarding school. Serena comes back into her life, and into the eyes of Blair's boy friend. When everything Blair knows starts to fall apart, everyone will realize that her life is far from perfect. Will life in the the Upper East Side redeem itself of what it's really supposed to be? Or will the false facade reveal that the rich have the same problems as the not so rich (Jenny and Dan Humphrey), if not more. And just maybe Jenny and Dan are all the more happy with their simple, not so expectant lives.

there are certain private schools that are in a network called the "ivy prepratory school league". it consists of just a few schools and its only in the New York area.
